ESPI Webinar – Where Sensing Makes Sense

Energy, agriculture, digital transition, peace and security, climate resilience and insurance. These priority domains for Europe show opportunities to expand the impact of Earth observation (EO).

This webinar will highlight and discuss the findings of the new ESPI report, “Where Sensing Makes Sense,” developed in cooperation with the European Space Agency. This stems from an evidence-based assessment of over 300 policy documents and 600+ EO downstream projects, providing an overview of how EO serves Europe’s objectives, and provides recommendations to ensure that EO capabilities are no longer standalone tools, but effectively integrated across the entire policy cycle.

The panel brings together the policy and space industry perspectives to discuss opportunities for EO to better deliver in line with policy needs, exploring challenges and agreeing on actions forward to build on the assessment provided by the report.
