The third iteration of ESA’s Zero Debris webinar series will cover the regulatory and policy foundations underlying the agency’s Zero Debris ambition. With growing amounts of activity in Earth’s orbit, requirements and standards are more necessary than ever to ensure long-term sustainability in orbit. The webinar will cover ESA’s internal space debris mitigation requirements and standards, before moving to a global perspective.

ESPI Research Fellow Alberto Rueda Carazo will speak about national policies and regulations in his presentation “From Soft Law to Binding Obligations: The EU Space Act and the Emerging Zero-Debris Regulatory Framework“.
