We are just under three weeks away from the 19th ESPI Autumn Conference, taking place on 28–29 October 2025 at the Vienna City Hall, under the theme: Europe as a Space Power.
Leading actors in the space and policy fields will come together to give insights on how to scale up Europe’s ambition in space in a time of global tension. Europe is uniquely positioned to build on its reputation as a trustworthy partner in many parts of the globe. At the same time, space is a strategic imperative for Europe — driving economic growth, strengthening security, and inspiring future generations.
As competition in space intensifies, Europe has a unique opportunity to lead by advancing its capabilities, strengthening European cooperation and investing in innovation, talent, and partnerships that will deliver solutions to pressing economic and security challenges. The Conference will cover these themes through three sessions:
- Building Power – European policy makers and heads of agencies discuss how Europe can scale up its ambition and harness the full potential of its space sector.
- Building Bridges – International guests from North America, Asia, Africa and Latin America discuss Europe’s role as a global partner and address pathways for enhanced cooperation between Europe and other world regions.
- Pillars of Space Power – Expert discussions on Europe’s capability to assert itself in the domains of exploration, security and innovation.
Business as usual is no longer an option. Europe must take its future into its own hands, translating a shared vision into concrete action. This conference is an opportunity for stakeholders across the continent – and beyond – to shape Europe’s path forward as a trusted global space partner.
The Conference takes place at a time when European nations and institutions head towards future-defining policy and funding milestones, such as the ESA Ministerial Council Meeting, new EU Multiannual Financial Framework, or the EU Space Act.
The ESPI Autumn Conference has long been recognised as an independent and influential platform for candid discussion, bridging fresh European and international perspectives. With its mandate, ESPI is uniquely positioned to convene decision-makers, foster cooperation, and promote European space policy on the global stage.
