From 2-4 September 2026, ESPI and the Florence School of Regulation at the European University Institute will once again host the Space Policy Summer School in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy.
This year’s theme, “Space beyond space: the impact of space integration across sectors”, will explore how space systems shape key areas of the economy and public policy. The programme will focus on three central domains:
- Space for energy and infrastructure
- Space for digital transformation and governmental services
- Space for natural resource management
Over three days, participants will work through interactive seminars, use cases, and group exercises led by experts from ESPI, EUI, and guest speakers from the wider policy and space communities.
Who should apply?
The School is designed for:
- Parliamentarians and civil servants
- Industry professionals
- Staff of international organisations and diplomats
- Researchers and think tank members
- Consultants
Five places are also reserved for graduate and post‑graduate students with strong potential in policy.
Whether you come from a STEM background and want to understand the policy dimension, or from the policy world and want to deepen your knowledge of space, the Summer School provides a unique platform to connect, learn, and expand your professional perspective.
