The European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), together with its partners Exolaunch and Bertelsmann Foundation, is partnering with the Universe Pavilion, for an art exhibition addressing the theme “Sheltering in Space – A Guide” running in conjunction with BIENNALE 2025, to engage in a dialogue about space activities and their impact on societies and economies.
This engagement follows ESPI’s growing engagement at the intersections of policy, technology, and the arts (read more about S+T+Arts Residency at ESPI.)
As part of this new collaboration with the Universe Pavilion, ESPI and its partners will organise a full-day event under the theme, “Space Provocations” at the Universe Pavilion on 21 June 2025, inviting audiences to learn about, dissect, and reimagine the major policy issues surrounding space activities and their wider societal benefits.
There will be three primary sub-events during the day (Please RSVP using the hyperlinks below):
- 10:00 – 12:30 – Satellite Mission Masterclass: a hands-on dynamic masterclass for a smaller group, introducing practical and political concepts related to spacecraft design, launch and operation.
- 16:30 – 18:00 – Film Screening “Astropolitics”: by Bertelsmann Foundation Documentary Series
- 18:00 – 22:00 – Evening Reception at the Universe Pavilion: under “Art Night Venezia 2025” with partners, friends and broader community.
